WELLINGTON COUNTY LIBRARY

With our community and staff rooms located on different levels to the rest of our library, we have found the radios very helpful when staff members are downstairs, leaving only one person on the library level. It is easy to call someone back upstairs to assist with a line of people at the circ desk or to quickly ask a question or pass on information. We’ve used our radios frequently before and during March break when staff needed to be downstairs to prepare for or run a programme. We also communicate with our library pages, asking them to find an item and bring it to the desk for a patron. Definitely one benefit for us is when we are preparing for and running our programmes!
