ST. JOSEPH’S COLLEGE SCHOOL
St. Joseph’s College was having difficulty with communication between the administration, support staff (Student Supervisors and CYW’s), custodial staff and the office. The portable phones we had on site, cut out, were unreliable and do not work everywhere in the building. This then presented a safety hazard to all in the building.
I had received an email regarding a Motorola portable radio system and noticed that other schools in our Board had purchased this system, so I decided to investigate the Motorola DTR system for our school.
Juris Utnans came to the school to demonstrate how the portable devices worked. I was extremely happy and surprised that they worked everywhere in the school. There was no static at all and they were very easy to use.
Juris Utnans was professional and very helpful in explaining the system to us. He also offered to program them to fit the needs of our community.
We have been using the radios for over 3 weeks and it has made such a difference in that we have instant communication between all the key support staff and office staff as needed. This has alleviated the leg work of the office staff to physically go and find the needed person at any particular time.
Juris worked very hard to make sure he could find the best deal for us and we are very pleased with the savings and customer service we received.
Having the Motorola DTR system, has increased the safety of our staff and students and for this reason I would highly recommend the use of these radios.
